CL_013 websitePosters designed by two local primary schools to liven up the site hoarding on our development at Ings in Hull was a runner-up in the national Ivor Goodsite Hoarding Competition run by Considerate Constructors this summer.

The artwork, drawn by pupils at Maybury and Bellfield Primary Schools, was on the theme of health and safety, and gave the children the opportunity to do something fun while at the same time educating them on the dangers of building sites.  Their designs were blown up, printed onto boards and mounted on the hoarding around the site compound, and in July the children were invited to site to see their work in place and receive Considerate Constructor Ivor Goodsite medals.

Sharon Jarvis, our Regional Training Advisor, said “We were extremely impressed by the designs and the children from both schools have done a great  job of livening up our site. We think it’s really important that children, and people of all ages, get a chance to find out more about construction…”
