ull City Council’s annual community ‘Make your own hanging basket’ sessions recently in Ings, the area of east Hull where we are the council’s Lead Developer Partner. As well as making a financial contribution, our Project Co-ordinator attended the event, to meet some of the residents who came along and help out with the basket planting. The event, which has been running for several years now, provides free hanging baskets, plants and compost to residents who want them, and takes them step-by-step through the process of planting up a basket which they can then take home to brighten up their neighbourhood. Over the course of the 2-day event, an amazing total of 120 hanging baskets were planted up and taken home by local people.
