Compendium Living are delighted to have obtained planning permission recently for more homes for sale in east Hull. This follows the success of The Leeway, which was our first development for sale in Ings, east Hull.
We are currently on site there building 83 affordable homes for registered provider Together Housing. Our new sales site will comprise 64 two-, three- and four-bedroom houses, along with four affordable bungalows. Both sites are in the same area of Ings, enabling us to build and manage both sites from a central compound.
These developments are all part of wider plans for the regeneration of the Ings area of east Hull. Hull City Council and Compendium Living have been working together since 2013 to develop plans for over 700 attractive new homes in the area. These homes will help to transform Ings into an ‘urban village’, benefiting the whole community for generations to come. Having achieved planning approval for our third development, we are well on the way to delivering the first 200 of these.
In addition to building new homes, we also try to ensure we use local suppliers and sub-contractors where we can. This includes striving to increase the proportion of local firms who are on our approved vendor register.
